Maybe I'm conservative, but I think the world has enough things in it to hurt me if I crash without adding pointy things to my bike... After the apocalypse, when I'm riding my VFR from town to town in a desert wasteland and fending off savages bent on killing me for having the last unscratched Shoei shield on the planet, I'll be all over them!
