    86 Vfr 700

I have looked at VFR, new and used for a long time. There is a used 86 (25000 miles) in the area as well as a used 2002 (15000 miles). Any thoughts on either of these two years.

I am looking for a bike to ride longer distances. I am 6'2" and 214 if that makes any difference.

    Thanks,
    Bob

My first thoughts as a 2nd gen owner are: you would love to have fun on it but, the 02 would make a much better distance bike with less headaches during long runs. IMOP

It's also easier to find parts should something go awry.

    VFR's

I agree. I have a '86 Nighthawk that is just bullet proof but finding accessories is a real pain. I think newer may be the way to go.

Could not have said it better myself.
