Help - Avon Roadriders or Conti TKV11/12

I have run a few sets of Metzeler ME1/Laser CompK's, but they stoped making my rear. The spec size is 130/80-18, when I got it (15 years ago) it had 140/70-18 which I replaced with same. I wanted a wider look and last time tried 150/70-18. It fits nicely, looks alot better and I can't tell any negatives from doing this. Anyway, I am on the hunt.

I have found two brands that make my size(s). Avon-Roadrider and Continental-TKV11/TKV12. Even though I don't put many miles on, and don't get close to wearing the edge, I still desire sport tires. (I know, buy a 5th or 6th Gen). To bad us 1st and 2nd guys have to settle for standard touring tires. Alright enough whining.... Can anybody tell me their experience with either of these models?

Thanks

I havent tried either on a vfr, but the cantis I have tryed on my former bike, a Kawasaki GPZ500s / EX500. I liked the rear a lot but the front was not as good, even not bad just not a mach to the rear in my opinion.
The Avon is a newer tire, and many have just sade good thing abouth them.

I just recently replaced the Metzlers on wife's 500 with a set of the Avon tires. One thing to be aware of is the Avons, even though they are the same size, are significantly taller than the Metzlers they replaced. I can't really make a fair comparison because judging by milage (~12k) the Metzlers were likely the second set of tires on the bike but I have no way of knowing how old they are. They were rock hard though.
But even my wife noticed that the bike is more twitchy with the Avons and tends to turn in faster.
