Fourth Gen Rear Shocks

I hear good things about the 929 shock [ got one,but not installed yet] ,but I'm wondering if anyone has tried the 954 shock, it's the same length, and the upper reservoir goes to the right instead of the left [ still lots of room] . Is the valving ok?, is the spring close to the one you would want? Any feedback would help. It might end up on a third gen with the fork mod.
