Anyone Know Were I Can Get A Rear Seat Cover?, Possibly In Red. Looking For The Stock One, Not Aftermarket.

    ???

Do you mean the rear seat, or just the cover? The cover is nothing but vinyl. You don't buy a rear seat cover, you just buy some furniture grade vinyl and put it on. I've just done this, and it's not that difficult.

You'll need a staple gun and some short 6mm staples. Make sure the vinyl is rated for outdoor use (for UV resistance). Furniture grade vinyl also has a cold-cracking rating. You can get it in -20C or -40C grades.

Start at the back and work your way up. Once it's stapled all the way around, it'll look like ass and you'll think "OMG what have I just done!?" Don't worry. Go around it strategically, removing a staple or 2, stretching, and restapling till it's right. And don't worry about the stitched seam running around where it hugs the tank. Just cut out a U shape with a good couple inches extra material, then pull it over the edge and staple it right there by the edge. Then trim away the excess which is now taught and lifting away from the seat. Then cover the staples with a strip of gaffers tape to protect the tank.

I think he means the solo seat red plastic cover? Nevertheless good tips on the seat refurb - I just found a sympathetic auto trimmer who did a great job on my FL '90. He also put in a thin extra piece of padding to help improve the craftsmanship. It wasn't that cheap but they did do a great job. Lifted the appearance of the bike enormously.

It was a huge boost to my bike's looks, too. I tried using black duct tape, first... haha big mistake. After that first piece goes on, the end is near. Within a month, more than half my seat was covered in duct tape. When your seat looks that bad, you're not afraid to try recovering it yourself. :)

I think he means the rear seat cowl. The red plastic that fits over the rear pad. I know a guy named VFR Chuck would do them for like 90 but then this place has an aftermarket. You would be lucky to find one straight off a bike.

Finding an original 90-93 seat cowl manufactured as an extra by Honda is gonna be like finding a needle in a barn full of hay. If found, likely the red paint will have faded some.

I found one in NY for my bike about ten years ago. It was cracked and needed repair. Painted it black. Probably best to look in the aftermarket.
