1. New air sensor costs 36$. Is not very expencive? May be there are another way to check my sensor? Can't be demaged wire to sensor? Or if wire to sensor would be demaged it will not display anything?
2. Gearshift is working loudly... is it normal?
3. Rear brake pedal is hard and I have to puch very much to make it work, what comments?
Thanks
Check the sensor wire as much as you can, if you see no damage just replace the sensor
The gear change can be a bit noisey, it may be due an oil change
Why is brake pedal hard, does the bike not slow down when you press the pedal![]()

I would suggest you take back brake pads out and check them, also check caliper slides on pins ok !
And while pads are out unbolt caliper and check the pistons, get some good brake cleaner and an old toothbrush and givem a good clean, but be careful not do undo the brake lines.
It could be that the last owner didnt use the back brake much and the pistons are stuck and need cleaning.

As for the air sensor, my 2004 is in a different location, under front headlights, which reads fairly accurate. My clutch also makes the same sound, has 36,000 miles and runs fine. Congrats on the new bike, looks good.
Hello, I just have finished to check my open air sensor.
I have notice that may plastic which holds sensor was detached and was very close near cooling radiator, therefore my sensor temerature was raising.
Today, when I repaired my plastic holder, sensor shows correct temperature. But...
when the engine is on, I heat the sensor with hairdryer, but temperature don't go up. Than I turn off the engine and immediately turn on again, display shows much higher temperature. when I let sensor to cool down - display shows that temperature drops ant stops at the right weather temperature, but if I heat sensor temperature don't rise up on display. But when i turn of and turn on the engine, displays shows temperature high. So, it looks like that display shows only when temperature goes down, but not when raises.
I have done how motorcycle manual said:
measurement of ohms, all in accordance with the manual. Whats wrong?
1. Hello, I will buy new open air sensor, how do You think it will help?
2. When I'm riding and stoping with rear pedal, I can't make rear tire to slide, motorcycle stopping but not sliding (no ABS), is it normal?
In South Africa, where the grey import market thrives, older bikes are imported and then given the registration year as model year when they are purchased, i.e. my '98 ZXR400 was registered as 2005. This may have been the case with Dainius's bike. It's a less than subtle marketing trick by unscrupulous dealers, but it's on the decrease.
As for the Gen. 5 vs Gen. 6 rivalry, the November 2008 issue of Superbike mag has a comparison between the two. In a nutshell, the bikes are pretty even. The testers liked the Gen. 6 suspension and design but questioned the quirky VTEC engine and overlong top gear. They preferred the more solid performance of the Gen. 5 engine.
As for the engine tone changing subtly while pulling the clutch lever in, even my Gen. 6 does it, so no worries there.

1. How many litres of benzine your VFR uses to run 100km? average...
2. Can anybody help me... I want that you try to start ignition and with hairdryer to heat open air sensor, and watch in displey, are temperature rising?
Can anyone help me?
I think that open air temperature not rising wile you are not drive the motorcycle, Can anyone to heat open air sensor with hairdrayer and tell me that temperature in the display realy not rising, when you are not riding..?

The thermometer will read high if the bike sits in the sun, or if the engine has been running. The air temperature is most accurate while riding.

This is a good discussion since I am considering buying a 1998 from a friend in San Diego.
Dainius have you resolved all of your VFR concerns? If you don't understand some of the words or terms like "VIN" you can refer to http://en.wikipedia.org to see this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIN. Wikipedia is a multiple language resource.
Thanks.
The clutch separates the engine from the transmission. When idling in N the
mainshaft in the trans still spins, apply the clutch and it stops. Old or the wrong type of oil will make this more noticeable, but all bikes make this noise to some extent. If there is a problem in the trans it could be louder, but try to compare to another VFR.
My air temp sensor went crazy when I had RR problems -- make sure your bike is charging. 14.3-14.4v at speed and battery is good.
Nice bike
Happy trails

You are worrying too much dude !
I dont see why the air temp sensor is so important, as long as the engine isnt overheating then dont worry !
You will not lock the rear wheel because of the linked brakes, and if you locked the rear wheel you are reducing brake effectiveness anyway !
Just enjoy the machine for why it was built ( ride it ).

help me?
Can anybody to turn on ignition but not to turn on engine and heat with hairdrayer atmosphere air sensor? Are the temperature rising in the diplay when you heating?

^^Yes.. I turned the bike on (but didn't start), and took a hair dryer to it. The tempurate rose. Not a lot, and it took a minute or two. When I turned it off, then on again, it was the same temp.
Your's is wrong.
