    LED Integrated Mirrors

I've seen a few LED integrated mirrors on the 5th Gen's, but I'm unable to find a suplier. Have any of you purchased a good set?? What models will fit a 98?? Any help would be appreciated.

While I'm at it, where's the best place to get mirror extenders?

    Thx,
    Nic

There is a guy on VFRD, lobster something or other, sells extenders called 'lobstenders.'

There is a video on "youtube" showing a guy with them on his bike, I don't know though if it's still on there though! Also as for the extenders and intergrated led's you can find them both on Ebay under VFR.

check my gallery(LINK) for comparison photos.

They work great, but the LED's aren't the brightest in the world during the day and the brackets are an abs plastic type...only complaints. I did need to buy some bolts at Home Depot or Lowes too... some kind of Hex-cap bolt in black. The set came with a nut and bolt...i wanted a simple screw in application and plus, the regular bolts couldn't be turned from the top due to the bracket design, but a certain hex-cap size does and they were <$3.

    Ebay links:

    Black

    Chrome

Search "Integrated Mirror" and you'll find a bunch of other styles that are more OEM shapes and what not.

Still to Come: RT or Sonic Fork Springs, RT Gold Valve Kit.

What kind of relay do I need? Would a resistor do the trick?

yes, a resistor would do the trick, but it would have to be stragecially placed. A Relay made for LED's turns is the best idea though.

it depends on what resistance you're getting from your current setup compared to stock(as long as it's the stock relay). I don't know the numbers off the top of my head. But there are lot of places that sell relays made specifically for LED systems which would be the easiest fix. Otherwise you're looking at soldering resistors in for every LED connection. You can get resistors for whatever your need at radioshack or online.

Where'd did you buy your LED signals at? They might have the relay available through them. When I added my LED mirrors on to my stock blinkers I didn't have to change the relay at all.

I ordered them off of E-bay from a company callled Fly-N-Cycle Motorsports eBay Motors: INTEGRATED MIRRORS CBR600 F4 F4I CBR900 CBR954RR (item 220349576097 end time Feb-05-09 03:38:12 PST). I may be able to check the resistance of the existing bulbs and make a determination from there. I'll let you know how it works out.

    Thanks,
    Nic
