My VFR is 'Cooler' than Yours

Hi everyone. I have been lurking on this site since I bought my '2000' in July. The web-site has been a great resource for my questions.

I am using my bike as a daily commuter and I am noticing as the weather cools I can not get the operating temp. to come up past 140 degrees. There is exeptions, but for most of my 20 mile commute the bike runs cold.

I started tearing in to the cooling system but thought I would post this dilema in order to get some expert advise.

Does anyone have some input for me?

    Thanks. Steve

Sounds like a classic case of a sticking thermostat.

Cheap part, but I've heard they can be a major PITA to get at. If you aren't already using a Honda service manual, I'd recommend you get one.

    Good luck,

Thanks for the reply. It turned out to be a thermostat. A bit of a job to get at, but not too bad.
