OK, here's the story so far:
I have about 2 months and 2000 miles on the 2007 VFR. Being a former Shadow and VMax rider, it's taken me a while to learn to relax my arms and avoid the sore wrist syndrome. I'm also 220 lbs, weightlifter and swimmer, so a lot of my weight is in my arms/chest/shoulders/upper back.
I bought Heli bars a month ago and haven't gotten around to installing them yet. I'm wondering if I should bother, as I'm OK with the position now...
Pros:
more relaxed/upright position
Cons:
installation time/hassle
stock looks better
more indirect steering (farther from the head bearings)
Opinions?
If you're comfortable with stock bars I'd leave it alone and sell the Heli's. For myself I can't ride with the stockers.

I'd say that if you're happy w/ the stock bars then go ahead and keep them on. For me, the Heli Bars were worth the money and time to install. I even have them on their lowest setting (all the way down on the steering head) and they're more comfy than the stock clip-ons.

Sell the helis - spend the bucks on a seat Corbin/Sargent. With the lower seat the bars feel slightly raised - problem solved. Great seat, better ergos.
Your an althetic dude, try this - put the bike on the center stand, sit on it, hands to your side. Now lean forward just a bit, and now with each hand touch the bars with 2 fingers. Feel your weight now with your legs/abs/back?
A little extreme, but a decent anology to moving down the road. (I tryed it for grins.)
Of course I'm the anomoly, heli-bars feel like ape hangers to me.
