not sure if you or i could tell. thats more for a government agency that investigates things like that, if the harness was shorting out or overheating it could possibly show signs of overheating (melting or black marks) but for that to happen it should of given some indication before accident. the connection could be tested with ohm/volt meter to see if a short exists but not very conclusive sorry i couldnt be more helpful.
