Looks like the warm frame is normal.
As for the other, I should have also mentioned rough gear changes or inconsistant smooth changes have also been an issue quite recently. Before I look at the gearbox, I will have a look at the slave cylinder condition first. There was another thread (can't remember where) on here with something similar, which impact smooth gear changing.
