which are you?
Are you a Democrat, Republican or a Southerner?
Here is a little test that will help you decide. The answer can be found by posing the following question: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you. You are carrying a Glock 40, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Democrat's Answer: Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor! Or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? Should I call 9-1-1? Why is this street so deserted? We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior. This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Republican's Answer: BANG! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Southerner's Answer: BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click..... (sounds of reloading). BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click Daughter: "Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Hollow Points? Son: Can I shoot the next one! Wife: You ain't taking that to the Taxidermist!

Impossible scenario. There are no Democrats who even know what Glocks are nor are there any that are expert shots.
As for me, as VFR=> said: Quote:

While I may not agree with the Dems, at least you would not depend on "the man" to protect your family. That we can agree on.

I would be embarrassed to admit to being Republican, I am not Democrat because they are too consrvative and my ancestors fought for the Union, as to to the Muslim, I would disarm him with my superior fighting skills. Next question....

I believe the idea that democrats are anti gun, which is only partially true, has not helped them in elections. Guns may be the only thing I actually agree with the republicans on. Although I do not love the democrats what the republicans have done to this country with the Bush administration is seriously despicable. I will celebrate when he leaves office no matter who wins the election.

Say that not a knife...and whip out a bigger knife and or a spork.
Should that fail. Shoot for center mass. if stops call 9-1-1 if keeps moving forward shoot agian. may not kill him outright, but hey not much of a choice. Would not aim for head and an outright kill, goal to dibilitate and secure. If he dies was self defence and would secure witnesses. then again i'm a Canadian... so all this would be followed by "Sorry" then paying disability for him for the rest of his life and wishing i had shot him in the head.

It's pronounced "soary."
At least according to American use of force continuums one must use the level of force necessary to stop the threat. Some law enforcement agencies do not allow head shots, but you can see where this would cause trouble. The S.O. where I used to work had the policy of 2 to the chest then 1 to the head if necessary. Followed by mountains of paperwork, a few weeks of desk duty, and a new side arm. I have adopted the 2 to the chest 1 to the head method in my personal practice. Our "gang sign" was the index and middle finger of the left hand over the heart and the index finger of the right hand to the temple.

sorry to disagree with the "Southern" scenario, but as a legal and licensed Southerner I know most of us carry 2 spare clips not 1.: rolleyes:

Thats why I prefer the .45. Although an extra mag may be a good idea if you can't hit someone with 10 rounds you probably should not be shooting or carrying the thing at all. I really like the .45 acp a lot.

No one said I would miss, just dont get too many times to do this legally. So you enjoy the experience to its fullest. Besides ammo is not that expensive, yet.
