Best tire prices. I found a great place see if you can beat it?!?

    Updated 03/12/09

I ordered 2 rear tires from this company out of Az. Seems they had the best tire prices and with shipping to Ca it only cost me $13.64 for 2 tires! See this site and compare to others. If you find a better place post her up.....

So far we have two good sites depending on how many tires you order and what type. Check both sites. Ride Direct has free shipping over $200. ATM charges about $13.65 for 2 tires to Ca.

    Good tire dealers:

    Mike at 800-228-5765 Mosites Motorsports
Says he can have the best prices on tires. You can give him a call and mention that you heard about him on the VFR forum.

    http://www.americanmototire.com/catalog/index.php

    http://www.ridedirect.com/ Thanks eleman

    http://www.derbycycles.com/cgi-bin/eShop/index.cgi Thanks buzzbeater

    http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ Thanks NorCalBoy

http://www.motorcycletires.com/productdetail.asp?gn=M3 Thanks Joey_Dude - says they have good Metzeler deals

You can try this out as another source too:

    http://www.tireexpress.com/index.cfm - free shipping over $100.00

    http://arizonamoto.com/Merchant2/mer...ory_Code=Sport - free shipping on 2 tires

I sent off a letter to AMT about RideDirect prices and AMT states they are the lowest. I will report back on the findings if they are reducing prices or matching?? Brian

AMT had a quick response and also already shipped my tires out! They say they do not price match but will look at the pricing on the Conti's. Also found that some sites dont list their address so you dont know where they are at and some dont even have the tires in stock! I recommend that before you order call and see that they have them in stock and when they will be shipped.

Also take into account if they are charging you any taxes. Brian

    Brian, Thanks for the post
I just have my installed before my trip to SLO
    Front 120 x 70 x 17 $129
    Rear 180 x 55 x 17 $149
Install and balance $30 per wheel. (I have to remove the wheel from the bike)
This is from steeler price. Not much diffrent if you including shipping.

    Great find!

    I have a question, however...

...I do about 65-70% of my riding while commuting to and from work. I am definitely in need of a dual compound tire, or at least one that wears REALLY well in this sort of use.

I know about the Michelin Pilot Road 2CTs, and the Dunlop RoadSmarts, are there any others on the market that I should consider?

    Derby Cycles - Motorcycle Accessories

Another vendor to consider. I bought Michelin Pilot Power 2CT front and rear for $269 to the door. Emailed me on order confirmation and shipping. Tires showed up 3 days later. Good experence.

I would stay away from the Dunlops, never had good wear from them without cupping. Pilot Roads or the Bridgestone bt021 would be my next choice. I am going to run the rear Metzler M3 as i bought a used M1 front from Tori.

I checked Derby cycle against ATM on some 120/180 Pilot Roads and ATM was cheaper by $12.00. But rates may change based on your location for shipping so always compare. Derby has other cool stuff as well so we will add them to the list!

Just a note on Rde Direct, I bought Conti's from them recently, and UPS lost my tires enroute. Ride Direct was very helpful in dealing with UPS and got on it pretty quickly, and I got the tires although late. So pretty good customer service. Downside, I live in KY, which is where Ride Direct is located, so I had to pay sales tax.

I've been riding the Avon Storm ST's now for over a year and they're pretty great. In fact, the Blackbird still has the same rear that I drove cross country and back (I love saying that) on. They're coming up on close to 9,000 miles and I just hit the wear bands on the rear...

... thanks to last weekend's ride. Sorry I asphyxiated you NorCal.

I bought front 120/70/17 and rear 170/60/17s for the VFR. I chose Continental Road Attacks and they cost me $96.95 for the front and $124.95 for the rear. The total shipped to my door was $221.90

I just checked and the front was now 106.95 but the rear was the same. Front went up $10 in just about 2 weeks but they do free shipping on orders over $200. I got them the next day but they are in KY and I am IL so it wasn't too far to ship.

They update the specials all the time. I check weekly. This week it's not that great.

You should check MOTORCYCLE PRO SHOP- Compare Motorcycle Exhaust, Motorcycle Tire, and Motorcycle Accessories - I have been getting tires from them for awhile now. They have free shipping on tire sets and they are cheaper than RideDirect or MotorcycleSuperstore and even American Tire. They are also quick to deliver - I ordered tires from them over the phone on a Sat. afternoon and got the tires the following Wednesday.
