    Obama secures major new endorsement...

    OBAMA SECURES MAJOR NEW ENDORSEMENT...

Unrepentant terrorist Osama bin Laden emerged from his cave along the Afghan/Pakistan border to declare his support for U.S. Presidential candidate, Barack H. Obama.

In a brief statement, Mr. bin Laden noted, "Mr. Obama and the Democratic Party share my values, as well as my thoughts and feelings about the United States. In making my decision, I felt that Mr. Obama was cool and articulate. When Mr. Obama speaks, a thrill shoots up my leg. Mr. McCain, on the other hand, seems somewhat erratic. Mr. McCain seems to pose a threat to my overall agenda of destroying the 'Great Satan'."

When asked for his opinions about Republican Vice-Presidential nominee, Alaska governor Sarah Palin, Mr. bin Laden said, "It would be a curse on the head of any self respecting Jihadist to be killed by a woman. I have had a recurring nightmare about this woman poaching the likes of me and my fellow cave dwellers from the back of a helicopter. I will not sleep until Obama is inaugurated."

Mr. bin Laden did have one reservation before making his endorsement of Obama official. Mr. bin Laden said, "I was somewhat concerned that the Obama tax plan would take needed money from the sleeper-cells that I fund in the United States." Fortunately for the global terrorist, the Obama tax plan gives terrorists a 500 dollar tax credit for each of the 72 virgins promised them for dying a martyr's death.

The Obama campaign reports that the 36,000 dollar tax credit given to terrorists is "paid for" by a corresponding tax increase on the owners of small to medium size plumbing businesses.

Mr. Obama said in a wonderfully articulated and fluently delivered press conference this morning, "There is power in words. There is passion in words. There is meaning in words. Words mean things. If it were not for words, I would not be saying anything. That being said, I would like to thank Mr. bin Laden for his kind words. I look forward to meeting with Mr. bin Laden within the first year of my presidency."

As of the time of this printing, Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee Joe Biden could not be reached for comment.

The endorsement of Obama by bin Laden has changed my mind. I am proud to announce that I will now be voting for Obama. I have decided to embrace the Democrats for the following reasons:
    1) I am way too irresponsible to own a gun. I know that the police provides all the security I need to protect my family from thieves and murderers.

    2) I can now marry whatever I want...I've decided to marry my VFR, both of them.

    3) I believe that the oil company's 4% profit on a gallon of gas is obscene!! And the govt taxing it 15% isn't.

    4) I believe the govt can do a better job of spending my money than I ever could.

    5) I believe that freedom of speech is fine...as long as noboby is offended by it.

    6) If we pull out of Iraq now, the bad guys will like us because we are good people.

    7) I now believe that the people who can't tell if it will rain this weekend, can tell us that the polar ice caps will be gone in 10 years...unless I drive a Prius.

    8) I am no longer concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

    9) I now believe that businesses should surrender all proffits to the govt for redistribution as they see fit.

    10) I believe that liberal judges should be able to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

I AM A DEMOCRAT!!! I LOVE TO GIVE AWAY EVERYTHING I DON'T OWN!!!
    NOT!!!

I heard that Obama is sirhan sirhan's brother, and that he came to earth in a UFO. Maybe Osama might show up at the inauguration ceremony....

Bin Laden would likely feel right at home with that crowd. Bill Ayers has offered him a place to stay and honorary membership in the Weather Underground.

I'm in awe, it must take a huge amount of time and effort to uphold such a high level of vigilance, you must get super upset that people aren't nearly as informed and intelligent. Wow, those damn liberals leading the way must really keep you up at night.

I didn't sleep for the 8 years of Clinton... Unfortunately, the possibility of an Obama presidency is not starting out well for me either.

Personally I wouldn't give you a dime for either Osama bin Laden or Obama bin Biden. They are different sides of the same coin as far as I'm concerned.

    How so?

Hondajt, please parse the post to demonstrate any racial overtones, racial undertones, or racial bias. Please parse it for any demonstrable overtones of hate or undertones of hate. Cite them specifically and explain what makes it racially motivated hate speech. This crap of making a charge that something is racially motivated just to try to discredit the message, satirical or otherwise, does not fly with me. So, cite and explain, or admit that there is no racial motivation behind it!

You are the quintessential republican/conservative. Some of your views are very hypocritical. For example, you want the government out of your life as much as possible when it comes to owning guns and freedom of speech, but you are in favor of the government discriminating against homosexual couples wanting to marry per your argument #2 and in favor of taking away a woman's choice re: her reproductive rights. Why not rights for everyone?

Also, your ignorance with respect to the environment is quite typical of many conservatives. Even though most scientists are in concensus that global warming does exist and is anthropocentric and will affect the planet in unknown ways, you believe that it's not true and you'll continue your habits irrespective of the world's problems. Read the IPCC's report to get a clue.

As for your redistribution of wealth argument, right now there is a tax cut for very wealthy individuals. This, in essence, is redistribution of wealth. Where do you think that money comes from? What Obama wants to do is end that tax cut and shift it over to the middle class, which includes most of us. What's so bad with this. Obviously, the trickle down theory hasn't been working too well, why not try it the other way around?

You're so stuck in your ways. You give in to all the scare tactics. It's funny, many of the conservative guys' arguments on this forum have mirrored what's been said by the MCCain campaign, such as: first- Ayers, then- charging that Obama is a socialist, now- that he wants to redistribute the wealth. I wish you guys would think on your own and stop the generic criticisms of liberals and democrats; they're not very accurate or original.

You've got to be kidding. Obama said himself that he wants to redistribute wealth. Who does he think he is, Robin Hood? Taking from those who earned it and give it to those who didn't!! Dems LOVE to give away things they don't own.

If Obama gete elected, I'm starting my own country. I will ask DrBob to be VP and a few other members here have offered to be Sec of Defence as well as other cabinet officials.

Please elaborate. What do you find so wrong with his agenda? I've read some of your previus posts and they're all quite cynical. I've been cynical in the past as well, but Obama offers hope that things can be different. Not socialist different, or high tax different, or communist different, but different in positive progressive terms. These last eight years have been horrible on so many levels. Our honor and reputation as a country has been tarnished. We are in two wars, we've lost many lives, many have been injured, a lot of money has been spent, rights have been violated in the name of security, our economy has been neglected and as a result has been very damaged, and we've become more and more divided as a country. What Obama seeks to do is provide and agenda that will put us on a better path, such as better domestic policies regarding healthcare, education, environment, and public safety, as well as better foreign policy that will protect us, such as diplomacy instead of the Bush Doctrine of Preemptive force.

What do you find so disagreeable with him?

The original post is just furthering the myth that Obama is a Muslim. DrBob - you asked hondajt to point out how it's "racist", there you go.

I'll make it even clearer - You posted this "news release" because you don't support Obama. The "news release" tells us how Bin Laden will support Obama. Everyone hates Bin Laden, and we know he's a Muslim, therefore Obama must be one, too. It could be interpreted as such, don't try to defend it. What other way could you interpret it if you actually were in support of Obama?

It's been proven a hundred ways from Sunday that he's not a Muslim. This sort of drivel only goes to prove that the people who DO NOT support him are willing to sink to the depths of the continuation of a vicious rumor.

McCain's campaign continues to try and smear Obama every chance they get. His supporters are all too happy to propagate those myths. Have there been any anti-McCain rumors like the "Muslim" myth? I can't think of any off hand...

And this "redistribution of wealth" argument is moot. It's not taking money AWAY from the wealthy and giving it to the poor. It's a taxation adjustment. If you make a lot of money, you should be taxed more, plain and simple. Just because you have the means to make HUMUNGOUS donations to charity and then can write off almost all of your tax burden doesn't mean that "Joe the Plumber" can. Obama's tax breaks are aimed squarely at the MIDDLE CLASS, where it's most desperately needed. How many rich folks do you know that can't pay thier taxes? McCain wants to continue to allow the very wealthiest people in this country continue to become wealthier at the expense of the lower and middle classes. The gap between the poor and the wealthy grows more and more every single day, and this is a bad thing for this country. Anyone remember the French Revolution? Same thing.

McCain can't beat him on the issues so he and his advisors use every smear they can to try to sway the public. This seems to be the only use for Palin in this election. At any of her speeches, does she do anything but attack Obama with ridiculous assertions? Both McCain and Palin are betting on ignorance to get them elected. What do you hear at the rallies and on this forum? Kill him, terrorist, Obama bin Biden, Obama and Marx. This is all just ignorance and demogoguery.

Wow you Obama supporters must have eaten your wheaties today. Cause you guys are on FIRE!!!!! Not taking anything away from the Palin/McCain supporters, but you guys better huddle up in your slowly shrinking circle and come up with a new course of attack, cause the OLD Scare tactic isnt working. Does anyone have any pics of Obama and Michael Jackson together playing at Never-Neverland drinking Jesus juice? Because outside of that i know where my vote is going...towards CHANGE!!!!

And for the life of me i have not heard of one good reason to ditch that vote and Vote Palin/McCain. Even from McCain himself. Did you all see the debates? I mean Obama whipped his ass with McCain. And Biden took it easy on Palin. Just pointing out her beautiful flaws. And these are the people you want to run the country. 1 step up on the intelligence ladder from W.

    Wow...

Does Barry ride a VFR? Or any other motorccyle? How about Sara or John? If not, can we get away from all this political drivel and back to why I believe most of us joined this site? Honestly, don't you get enough of this never ending campaign noise from TV, radio, magazines, unsolicited emails, blogs, newspapers, internet sites, billboards, telemarketers, door knockers, bumper stickers, yard signs, etc., etc., etc.? It's not that I think what you're doing or saying is wrong, it just seems to be terribly misplaced and, quite frankly, quite boring (I know, no one is forcing me to read it). I wouldn't be surprised if you are driving members away.

Try not to hate on me too badly, 'cause I really do love you guys! Honest!

Very well said. All these political discussions only serve to divide us instead of bring us together to talk about the VFR. I've played a part in this and will try to not comment on political threads anymore. The reason I come to this site is to learn about the VFR and read opinions about VFR-related stuff. I definitely am sick of all the election coverage and don't know why we bring it into this holy place. Thanks for your post.

By the way, I bought a used Sargent seat this week and should be getting it next wednesday. I can't wait to feel the difference. The stock one sucks. What's funny is that I've been looking for one for months now, and now that I purchased one, there's another one for sale in the classifieds in the same week.

    2) I can now marry whatever I want...I've decided to marry my VFR, both of them.

My sentiments exactly. I would very much like to meet you some day and shake your hand! (Based on my earlier post, I guess this post is contradictory, huh?)

If Obama gete elected, I'm starting my own country. I will ask DrBob to be VP and a few other members here have offered to be Sec of Defence as well as other cabinet officials.
OK, so that $700 billion, pushed through by this Republican admin, is not re-distributing my tax dollars that I worked for, to a bunch of millionaires???????

If you will think back a few weeks, you'll remember that the DEMOCRATS in charge of congress added to it!!! Remember??? They said that 700B was not enough, so they added a heaping helping of pork right on top. I didn't hear any Dems wanting it to be smaller, only bigger. So, that's exactly what they did, made it bigger. I don't agree with this bill. The the Dems loved it so much that they added to it. Dems have been in charge of BOTH houses of congress for years now. So, why isn't everything peaches and creme? I thought the Dems had the answer to all of life's problems. That's what they say, anyway. Fact is, the dems in charge of congress (Obama included) haven't done squat!!! Their plans won't work and they know it, so they do nothing except for blaming the reps for everything from the wildfires in CA to Barney Frank's ingrown toenail.

Obama is a half black half white muslim socialist who wants us all to love all with our wallets.
McCain is a 247yr old beat down man who will have a stroke three days in office and the air headed MILF will be runnin the show.

And how are you people not pissed these are the only choices?

    Try again, eightvalve.

1.) So what if Obama is "half white half black"? What difference does that make? Is this 1965? Check a calendar and get back to me.
2.) Obama is not a Muslim, get your facts straight.
    3.) Socialist? Um, not quite.
    so-cial-ism  [soh-shuh-liz-uhm]
–noun 1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
    2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.

I don't think that Obama is going to seize all of your possessions to give to the community as a whole. Trying to equalize the tax code to that equal taxation takes place amongst all tax brackets is not Socialism.
4.) I have no idea what you're talking about with that last bit.

As far as McCain is concerned - my biggest fear is not him being elected, but him winning the race, dying while in office and that airhead Palin getting the big chair. That's scary. So at least we're in agreement somewhere.

Here is an article from the Washington Post sighting Al-Qaeda web sites for backing McCain. At least you can find facts backing this endorsement.
