No, not a chance!
Maybe if I were Donald Trump
Yes, I would in a heartbeat
Just out of curiosity, is there ANYONE here who would be willing to bay $1,295 for a riding jacket? Yes, that is one THOUSAND, two hundred, ninety-five dollars US.

That's kind of what I thought ;) I have a friend with more money than sense who just bought one. I just wondered whether I was the only one that thought it was complete nonsense to throw that much cash at a jacket.

Hmm.... the page doesn't really sell me that it's worth that much. It sounds like any other textile jacket with the usual hard protection and pockets. Maybe it would be worth it if it's got stuff from Nasa and can change colors, holds water, provides solar power, and has air conditioning built-in.
When your friend gets the jacket maybe you can give us a review, there might just be something special about it.
For those kind of bucks I'd be getting a new Aerostitch and a bagfull of other goodies.

No, I do not own a BMW.

Always admired Rukka's. Know someone (or did know) that has one. He loved it. The jacket looked badass. Very good quality, fit, finish, looks, and rugged. If money was no object, I would have a couple for sure. 5 year guarantee as well. (seems like it should be 10 years though for the price).![]()

No thanks, I'll wait for the self-inflating air bag jacket.

The 1200 bucks is for the suit. I'm stickin to my Aerostitch.
Got a BMW. Nice bikes if you don't start messing with the engines. (79 R100RS Euro model much tweaked)
No, sorry it came out that way. No underlying issue at all. The guy who has one really is a good friend and he really does have more money than sense. His only issue is that he is a safety NUT. I ride MOTGATT always but he carries things to ridiculous extremes. If they came out with seatbelts and shoulder harnesses for bikes he would have them, I guarantee it.
I just wondered if there was something about that jacket that I was missing that might make it worth the price tag. Personally it would have to have a thousand dollar bill in the pocket before I'd pay that for one. They may well be the finest jacket anywhere in the world, but to me NO jacket is worth that much.

I have it in both beige and black. I wear it everywhere I go, bike or not, cause it gets me soooo much tail.![]()
Heads or tails, that is still a bunch of money for a two piece outfit.

Right you are.. The ad is not clear. What the heck, the pants are only $895.00 more at least until they start stocking this stuff at WalMart.
