Something cool for halloween

Hey guys, im very picky about my horror movies..... most of them suck.

My wife talked me into watching something that I thought was going to be stupid because of them name.

Boy was I wrong.

Rent the movie called "trick r treat".

Is surpsrisingly fun and wicked.... and not too cheesy at all. I recomending this movie for this halloween.

Would love to hear if anyone else loved/hated it.

Trick 'r Treat (2008)

I'm normally not a horror flick fan, but this one looks interesting.

"District 9" looked very cool. I'll have to see it when it gets to pay-per-view or premium cable.

District 9 really isn't worth the time to watch but if your going to the movies you need to see Zombieland. I really wouldn't consider it a horror movie because it's really not scary but just a really entertaining zombie movie!

Some of us are the only ones remaining at jobs that were designed for alot more staff.. It is hard to work 12 hours a day ( still getting paid for 8 hours ) and have the energy to go to a movie.....especcially while money is so tight.

However I do agree with your statemanet and I think me and the Mrs. are due for a date..........but damn it really sucks to go to all the effort and then the movie turns out to be a dud.

We wil go watch a movie, but if the movie sucks I will use this thread to vent... at least then it would have been worth the time and effort.

Or, too make sure its worth it, I could cut a hole in the bottom of the popcorn box

You're kidding District 9 is a great independent Sci Fi find, not at all a Horror movie though. " Drag me to Hell " not bad as a Horror Film with typlical Sam Raimi smatterings of Comedy spread throughout.

I'm not fond of supporting Hollywood, but that said, I still like a good movie now and then. Hard to find these days, though. A lot of the indie stuff is very good, though.

No kidding! I wake up every morning hoping the zombies have taken over the world so I can quit my job and go on a shooting spree.

Paranormal is supposed to be a really freaky movie. My roommate and his girlfriend saw it lastnight...she made him leave the bedroom lights on all night.

I think my expectations for District 9 were just to high. It's not a terrible flick...I'm just glad I didn't pay to see it.

meh.. I remeber when I was your age, I would work 12 hours go drink for 6 then go party the rest away then go to work and do it all over again..

cutting a hole in the bottom of the popcorn container.... I don't get it.... that would just waste the popcorn..

zombieland

Well, I dont go for zombie movies because they arent very inntellectual, and ya all know how smart I am and all.

Had to take a smoke break and I remembered saying that I would report back on this one... I am halfway thru and its not too shabby. I guess I am giving it two thumbs up so far.Laffin my ass off. Im not going to post a link to it, cause I dont want to bring any heat to our forum, but there is a site showing it in dvd quality.

It starts with a q and ends in a n and I think the middle rhymes with uicksilverscree.

anyways, hope someone else enjoys this one also, looks pretty good so far.

Will definatly drag my wife to the theatre to watch it this weekend. it looks worth the 50$ ( after admission, popcorn, candie and ruffies ).
