Delete profile?

Say someone wants to delete their vfrworld profile.. How is that done??

Vfrworld is based on vbulliten from what I can tell. They dont give users the options, only admins.... to keep the site looking clean. I guess it looks wierd if you delete a user, because all of thier posts stay, but it goes to a nameless face. This is just what I read ( I have administrated and moderated a few sites in my time ).
I would say to send a PM to reg71, derstuka, or whiteknight. I think those are our three moderaters ( other then shorty, but I think she is mainly in charge of chat ).
That said, I would hate to see our community lose a member....? Is it an unused account? Or is it because you want to a new name, etc etc.

I just paid my yearly dues and became an insider, it wasnt much money at all ( 20$ ) and then I had access to change my name etc etc.

Also my avatar is huge now.
Become an insider, its like enzyte for your avatar :)

The option is there....just put in a direct request to myself, Reg71, Michael, or Whiteknight and it will get done. As far as an accurate membership count, lots of folks join a forum, post once, then never come back again. That is just the way it goes. I have several forums that I belong to that I have not been on in ages. I never deleted anything. Unless we deleted inactive members after a allotted time, the "accurate" count can only be a ballpark figure based on how active members are, or when they last logged in....pretty much like all of the others.

I am sorry, I think I might have been a doosh on my post. I only became an insider so I could change my name without losing all my previous posts. I wasn't trying to pitch it, or anything. well, He lives in Pismo..everyone knows that pismo is the central coasts "redneck" beach area.. so maybe it is Slower.... you might be on to something randy......

He's actually in Grover Beach which is probably even worse than Pismo. ;) As far as deleting accounts, we can do that and have done that. We do not routinely delete any accounts for lots of reasons. One of the main reasons being that it takes some time and does go through and eliminate posts, too which can make some threads appear very strange. The other is that some of our members leave for up to a year, and then come back when they realize that riding a ducati isn't as great as you might think (not naming names, but you know who you are)... So anyway, we just let the accounts stay and quote/unquote Leave the light on for ya...
