I have a question.

I'm sure that it is answered in the disclaimer that we all scrolled right past as we opened our membership here. It's a simple question, what is a bannable offense? I mean everybody thats been here for over two years remembers Elf800 he was a butt head (or so I have been told) then there was Deep . I like having a forum were things can be discussed and Topics closed if it becomes heated.. but Banning a member for being a butt hole and otherwise dork? I don't get it..maybe there is more to it as in complaints lodged that we, the general public don't know about..... wouldn't a warning to tone down the behavior or maybe a suspension of privileges for a period be better than suspension? I know that you(collective you) have certain guidelines that must be followed. our descision is final and there is nothing that can be done about it. BTW you guys run a loose ship here which enables us to vent in ways that most forums would have already had heart attacks.

Commonsense is the name of the game. Name-calling each other in jest (and you are both cool with it), is ok, ripping or bashing others for no apparent reason other than to stir up animosity, not ok. Starting threads with your main objective being to instigate arguments on sensitive subjects, not good either. The owner likes to keep things loose, and that is the way things are...probably looser than many other MC forums.

Example, if I started a thread, that said. "if you are gay you should be tied up, beaten, and raped by dogs"....that would be asking to be banned. Should be commonsense to most I would hope.

Unfortunately, not everybody has commonsense, and some people on here are only here to instigate arguments and pretty much cause disharmony thru the ranks....that is what gets their rocks off. It is what feeds their hunger.

All of that said, we give everybody a million chances (unless you are a spammer), and banning is very rare indeed. You really have to be asking for it.

Fastest way to be banned...become a spammer....

I think it is an easy answer. You can get banned for whatever the owner (Michael) wants to ban you for.

VFRW is a private forum, so the rules are whatever the owner and their mods want. In essence, the rules are fluid and can change on the spot if the owner is a egotistical turd.

It appears that the owner and mods of this board are ‘like minded’ to most of the knuckheads who are on here so we are blessed.

The rules are posted so when someone gets out of line, as defined by the owner, the can be chucked and reminded that they signed the rules before they entered the amusement park. Why does this need to be done? Well since most Americans now believe they have a Constitutional right to a decent cell phone plan, a good job and a happy life. It makes it easier for VFRW to defend itself in case some goof sues VFRW for 1st Amendment rights violations. Although a bogus charge to begin with since this is a PRIVATE forum, the possibility exists. It’s just back up.

So how much is too much? Here is the line? Again, that’s easy. Elf800/ deepdish (since they are the same person) was VFRW’s litmus test. Basically, you can ride over the line a fair amount before your gone. We need to look no further than his antics.

One thing I have learned is if you get 40 people together and set some basic sensible rules in place. There are always 2-3 in that crowd who somehow think the rules do not apply to them. Even though they read and signed the rules and in conversation agree with said rules in theory. They break said rules and when confronted claim both innocence and arrogance as they are above the rules you see based upon their superior talents, insights and/ or intellect. Truth is, they are intellectual midgets filled with grandeur and nihilistic tendencies devoid of compassion regarding their fellow peers.

For those of you who weren't a member when ELF was part of the forum, he really did deserve to be banned. He was abrasive and derogatory a great deal of the time, and utterly crude on occasion.

I think the bottom line is that he spent a lot more time being a detriment than a benefit, in as malicious a fashion as he thought he could get away with.

it is pretty difficult to get banned here although I almost hesitate to say it knowing that some will want to see how much... we gave elf lots of chances, and even when he came back we let him go for a while cause he was pretty mellow for a while (relatively speaking)... he's still around here somewhere using another alias I think but he rarely gets too out of line...
