Has anyone ever done Edelweiss or Ayers adventures?

My best friend and I have always talked about such an adventure. We did cross country to Vancouver BC in 93'(he on an 86'VFR & me on 86' Nighthawk S), and have always eyed the Alps as a possible.

Just read about Machu Picchu adventures of Ayers travels in Motorcyclist, it looks other worldly, perfect for really getting out there.

Cost obviously biggest obstacle, but winter brings on such pining. We are also considering Nova Scotia, not guided.

Friends of mine used Edelweiss for a trip to the Baja. Said it was wonderful. and the tour guides were very reliable, accomodations good, chase vehicle, and food was good.
I did a Nova Scotia trip 2 years ago, unguided with a few friends. We rode up to Portland Maine and picked up the ship "Scotia Prince". Its an overnight "cruise" to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Fantastic ship, with meals, casino, and shows! Various sleeping accomodations available. Our "home" town in NS was in Maitland at a B&B. From there we took several day trips. Pictou, PEI, Bay of Fundy, Halifax. It was wonderful! 10 days. It cost me about $1500 total.

Yea! I've heard great things about similar trips. thanks for responding.

The more I think about it that is my kind of trip, not flying around the world to ride someone else's bike, for what mine cost!!!.

We may have to go across US again as my buddy is a winegrower & vineyard manager and it may be too late for Northern Route.

A group of us did an Ayres Adventures tour of Brazil last August. We rode from Sao Paulo to Rio de Janeiro and then south along the coast to Sao Sebastiao before returning to Sao Paulo. It was very professionally run and organized and was the best vacation that I have ever had. As the article pointed out, they try to tailor the trip to suit the group. In our case we rode a little faster than some and were able to hit a couple more roads. All details are covered and I think that it is a great way to visit a country especially if you do not speak the language.
