Well uh.... I'm a dude and my name's Joey. yeah so that's how I came up with Joey_Dude.
If you want to get further into why I came up with such a simple name when there are endless possibilities available, let's take a tour into my mind. I'm more of a relaxed kind of guy and the term dude can have a connotation of a pot smoker just chilling on a couch. While I don't smoke pot I can identify myself with that kind of state of mind. I rarely get upset and if I do I like to take a timeout and get away from the situation until I'm better. Since I have the bike sometimes if I'm not feeling right I like to go for a ride and I'm all better. And for some reason the type of people I get along really well with are pot smokers. There's something magical about discussing various theories from why religion is bull to the truth behind politician's motives all the while munching on some nachos. Also, I seem to have this gift or curse whatever you call it with people I deal with I can sometimes transform the most uptight and proper person into a laid back cool guy. There's this programmer at work I work with and he had a reputation for being a real straight arrow and always being the proper good boy. It wasn't too long before he started calling me dude and not getting stressed out when we had some problems with some software. Oh yeah and my name's Joey ;) |

I've been on this site for more than 2 months and I have not done this until today. As you all know my nick is "yoda6669". Yoda is self explanatory (As you all can see I'm a Huge Star Wars fan, Got a big SW collection and got all their movies). 6669 is the mark of the beast but with 9 after the triple 6. I get alot of comments from people back home that tell me that I'm going to have back luck cuz I'm using "the" numbers. Not true! My life is wonderful, have food on the table, moneys on my walleet, and a great family who loves me.

Username??
I have always referred to my cars when picking a user name...I used to have a 2001 Jetta GLX, VR6...all the goodies...loved that car. Since they are a Jetta Mark IV, and the car was blue, well you get the picture now...

I had purchased small hunting cabin in northern Pennsylvania (1989) and hanging on the front porch was a striking sign (professionally done) - “Cheyenne Social Club” members welcome. I had no idea what the sign and name referenced. One day my wife inquired about the sign, so I researched the meaning, then I watched the movie… well Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda and Shirley Jones played great parts in the movie, my wife never brought the subject up again, nor did I. But we sure did have fun at our Cheyanne Social Club.

mine came from back in the day when i had my 1971 mustang mach 1. i basically pulled the nickname out of a hat, and it just seemed to stick, as much as i use it. i miss my mach 1, but i dont miss it quite so much when i jump on my vfr and tear ass around town.

Vintagehondarider
I'm the Vintagehondarider because I have 5 of'em. All from '71-'85. The latest purchase is a 1985 VF500F Interceptor. Low miles, very clean and well kept.
I also had a CB in my 1969 hugger orange Camaro in high school. It wasn't fast, but the glasspacks sounded nice! 1971 Trail 90 1975 CB200 1976 CB500T (cafe project) 1981 CM400E 1985 VF500F When I brought home the Interceptor, the wife sighed and asked if I was done buying bikes. I said yes, but not sure if that's true! Ride hard or stay home. Peter Fonda from the movie "Wild Hogs" |

Mine's simply Wheee! FR. It's how I felt when I first rode a VFR. I'm pretty sure that feeling will not change any time soon. Dumb, but I'm an emotional guy.

I am a big honda nut. I used to have a hatchie hybrid (b20 block, b18c head), then a honda accord, then a 2001 honda prelude. Now a 2000 Honda Insight, and a 2004 Toyota Solara. The Insight is my favorite, by far.
Now a Honda VFR. I like my unusuals. The jt is/are my initials. John Tewksbury. it just makes sure the name isn't taken, and I can use the same name on multiple forums. |

I like beer. I was taking a tour of a brewery about 15 year ago, and in the museum they had this piece that was called a Barley Masher which was used to. well, mash barley: Roasted barley used to be inserted into the contraption, which would then mash the barley into a pulp to be used later during distillation.
So a few years later I needed a name for a fantasy football team, I wanted something unique and something to do with beer. I remembered this contraption, I concatenated the name and then started using it for every other user name... Last edited by barleymashers; 05-20-2008 at 07:33 AM. |

Well mine is fairly simple. I'm a GUY that has always loved the VFR's since they hit the showroom floor here at the local dealership where my dad worked back in the early 80's. The 2000 part is because that is the year I married my wife, & its also part of my e-mail address. I just love all of the VFR's/Interceptor's so I figured VFR-GUY2000 was very fitting for me!

Well, I have/had a VF500F, It's not a VFR (Viffer) it's a VFR minus the R, just VF (Viff).
Because my bike is referred to as a Mini/Baby-ceptor I named her "Viffy" the "y" being a diminutive/feminine nature to the name.

Got so tired of being around the local riders and hearing them complain about why they couldn't ride: too wet, too cold, too hot, too windy, etc. etc. Dude, you are blessed with a bike and paved roads...Shut Up And Ride!

A Kiwi is a small flightless bird endemic to New Zealand (no, it is not a brown fuzzy fruit - that would be "kiwi fruit"). It is also a nickname given to people who grew up in New Zealand. I live in Denver now but grew up in NZ

JerDub77 has been a username I have used for a while. My first name is Jeremy and my last name starts with a "W" so hence the JerDub. Many websites require your user name to include numbers and letters so I added the 77 since that is the year I was born.

Love your story brother. I've been trying to live what I call the "Saran wrap " lifestyle. Strong, flexible, and transparent. Usually the last one is the hardest. Some of my favorite prayer time is in the saddle of my '85 VF500F, and its not just "Please God, don't let some stupid fool run a stop sign!"
