Einzelkampfer (alt. spelling=einzelkaempfer) means "lone wolf" or "lone fighter." I chose the name because A) German's a tremendous language, and I'd like to take the time to learn it, and B) I recently returned to Camp Honda with the purchase of a 2006 VFR. (Haven't owned a motorcycle in 16 years, and have rarely ridden in all of that time.) My wife was and is incredibly unhappy with my actions, so I'm "in the doghouse" for the foreseeable future, so "lone wolf" is pretty fitting right now. It's worth it!

Hey Squirrel,

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

This is silly to ask, but, do you have squirrels living all over your house? If so, how many, and are they clean of mites/lice/yucky stuff? How did you come upon loving squirrels so much over others animals?

Rum distillery in Bundaberg, Australia had a gift shop selling novelty license plates among other things (t-shirts, etc) and I found one with "Rum Pig" on it. Fit the ARB Bull Bar for my 96 Disco SD that I had off-road built up.

So, used RumPig + VFR as my handle..damn fine rum they make too.

I worked with a Ks Highway Patrolman who's name was Weed. Funny thing was he was the Drug Recognition Expert Trainer.

In Kansas it's called 'ditch weed' cuz it grows everywhere wild.

Kansas? Always wanted to visit there.

I had a co-worker whose truck license plate was "ITS 420"
I didn't know what it meant and he gave me some about it being about a 420 equipped car he once had. Yeah sure! I later found out what that expression means to kids nowadays. (I just found out what "Green Day" means too.)
Things were simpler when I was young!

Kansas is supposed to mean something like "people of the south wind." When I bicycled across Kansas I planned on east-west, but the wind was so nasty I went from the south west to the north east. Tail winds are good things.

My username is a pun on my real name: Ed Reilly.

Yeah, but you don't want to be smokin that stuff! I grew up in Iowa and it grows along the fences of the cornfields. I would assume, like in Iowa, that that ditchweed is leftover hemp from hemp producing farms during WWII. The hard-up stoners would try to smoke that crap and end up with nothing more than a bad headache and burnt lungs. LOL

These are all interesting.

I came up with mine because of how I do shading when I draw. I used to draw a lot, though I don't so much anymore. I would use tiny ellipses with my graphite pencils, before I'd smooth them out. Boring, I know, but that's where it's from.

Sheesh, don't I feel silly.

I picked my name out of thin air. I always liked the Escape from NY movies, with the hero "Snake Plisskin". I've joined a few other forums (fishing, bass boats, etc.) and I used Pliskin on those as well, so I thought it would be easy to remember.

As I get older, its important to not mix things up. Keep it simple...

Hard to believe I'm paying for a kid in college and my forum name is based on a fictional Hollywood movie character.

I got a bottle of that stuff while I was there as well... drank most of it watching the Superbowl at 9am in the morning, (Steelers/Seahawks) the best part of the game was the Australian announcers - they were hysterical.
