Mine is inspired by the song "True Believers" by Phil Keaggy, a Christian musician. The song really had a impact on me in a time when I was not only struggling in my faith but in who I was as person. And, 71 is my birthyear.

My first name is Daniel, and back in the 80's i worked for a company where I was known for full tilt attacking problems that needed solving. IT didn't matter what they were. our company sponsored a ping pong team in a league. we won the league championship several years running. I played very aggressively. People would say "Man, Dan is an animal on the table". My riding budyy Todd(CBR1000RR) combined it into Danimal. I use it on the internet for a user name

Rev is short for Reverand. I'm not really a nickname kind of person and this is the only one that's stuck, which I don't mind as it's a pretty cool one.

I think the Administrator can change usernames; on the local rider's forum, he changes names for others all the time.

There is a hiking trail on the north shore of Vancouver called the Grouse Grind that I like to do. It is a steep nasty climb that rises 2800 ft in just under two miles. Hence grinder.

Mine, derstuka, is short for der Sturzkampfflugzeug , which was a German dive bomber during world war II that was not the fastest or the most agile, however, it was pretty dead on on bombing runs, and made a whaling sound which would strike fear into those who heard it. It had an autopilot feature (since g suits were not invented yet) since the pilot could pass out from the g's of a dive. I used to be a world war II freak, and I am an avid mtn biker, well, a friend and I used to do a lot of downhill mtn biking (still do ride a lot, single speed hardtails mostly now), and we would call each other der stuka for the "divebomber" mtnbiker of the hill/mtn. Kinda lame story I know, but it was just how I came upon this username.

I was wondering about that - I used to play with model airplanes when I was a kid - The Stuka was one of them.

Just a name I grabbed outta the blue.. well sorta. It kinda says about the layed back side of me -the drunken slacker lazy ass foole, goes with the Valky. I have the other side of life that is intense, stressful, and manical, adrenalin junkie. Sometimes mello dude is trully that, sometimes it's a bit of tonque and cheek sarcasm.

Dr Jeckle and Mr Hyde would have been too obvious.......

Generally I've adopted it as my internet alias.....

The first airframe I ever worked on in the Air Force was the F-111F, whose unofficial name was the Aardvark.

The best airplane I ever worked on in the Air Force was 892, an F-111F at RAF Lakenheath in the late 80s-early 90's.

It was one of only two aircraft I've ever actually been proud of working on.

The rest of them were garbage... well, actually 443 (the jet that was afraid of heights) was okay, once the main Crew Chief left and I took over.

yeah you can change it. Mine was originally preregrin which is a deliberate misspelling of a type of falcon but I got it from LoTR way back before the movies. I changed it to Reg so people would know my name so that when we meet I don't have to introduce myself with a handle and then give my real name. 71 is the year I was born..

Well back in the high school haze of "recreational pharmaceuticals" I was a HUGE Pink Floyd fan. My buddies started callin' me Meddle (The name of one of their albums) and the 99 was the year my daughter was born

My cb handle was Eclipse. From DSotM, Pink Floyd.
The handle here is from getting free tracktime by working the gate at the race facility and becoming sort of a fixture there for a few years. I still do it on occasion just to chat up the folks and stay in touch. (This Sunday, for instance.)

I'm not that much of a PF fan anymore. About an hour ago, I finished playing "Shine on you crazy diamond" (all parts) on my old Hammond. :)

What does my username mean? Well, it realy means nothing. lol Vman is a shortened version of the nickname Vinman, Vin being short for Vincent. And 38 is the age I was when I joined VFRWorld.com. I got the Vinman nick at a printing and binding company I used to work for, and it kinda stuck. I also kinda like it.

, could always retire & go or . Just kidding I've got nothing to complain about, my boss gave me $10K towards my house when I relocated has made tool payments for me & sends me a couple hundred $$$ in gas cards every so often & my base pay has more than doubled from when I started & I never have to see him unless I want to. Basically in charge of myself & of course keeping one of our big customers happy.

When I was six years old I watched the movie Mad Max (without my Mom knowing) and I fell in love with the motorcycles the bad guys rode.

For those of you who have not seen the movie. Bubba Zanetti is the right hand man, or second in command of the nomad bikers. The Toecutter is the leader. I originally was going to use The Toecutter as my e-mail name, but people had already used it, so I went with BZ.

When I joined VFRWorld I knew people would get the refrence since Mad Max has had such an impact on bikers of all shapes and sizes.

I don't like the bikers in Mad Max and I enjoy their demise in the movie. Max and Goose are cool! But I can't help myself...the bikes in the movie are awesome!

BZ

Tim,

I was wondering if you were bringing your bike down, and if you would be riding while you are down here? Could have a SD VFR ride if so.

Make sure to check out funbike center (kearny mesa area, off the 163 & 52) when you are down. They expanded the other year, and they are HUGE now. Used to be little itty bitty, but now they are a monstrosity!

Hey DerStuka - thanks for a fun thread! Seems to be a book of short stories in here.

Thanks MelloDude, and Jaymz. Just another way to the vfr family to get closer...sniff sniff...haha! It is fun and entertaining though.

I am torn between jackinthebox and action for my vote. Action is a great story, however, jackinthebox just cracks me up...him and the chickens living in a container hiding fromt the government and probably aliens as well....what a character!

My name is Patrick, so at work one kid started calling me P-Diddy but then it envolved (degenerated?) into pdiz for short. But at work, we all have rapper names. LOL
