6th Gear Python Motorcycle Jacket

At the local motorcycle shop they were having a half-off sale on 6th Gear apparel. (www.six-gear.com)

Anyway I saw the Python Jacket ( http://www.six-gear.com/paython.htm )

Since it was only sale for only $114.00 I was a little skeptical on the build quality. But after trying it on I was pretty surprised that this is a pretty sturdy jacket for such a low price. It's got hard plastic armor on the arms, back, and shoulders. The leather is real thick and soft. A great plus is that it has perforated leather on the chest area, arm area, and the lower back area to help with those summer days.

The only thing I'm not very impressed with is that the stitching and overall build quality isn't A+. There are some uneven stitches but you would have to really look at it to notice it. The 6th gear logo on the sides of the arms isn't really slick looking like AlpineStars. But then again, I got this jacket for only $110.00 so there has to be some allowance for a flaw or so.

I've been wearing this jacket for about 3 months so far and so far I haven't had any problems with it. Sure it isn't to the level of AlpineStars but for the price it's very good. I recommend this to anyone looking to save some money but still wants a decent jacket.
