TourMaster Transition Jacket

http://tourmaster.com/xcart/product....38&cat=0&page=

This was an impulse buy this afternoon. My current "utility" jacket is a POS Hondaline jacket I received as a gift in 2000. It has no useful armor, doesn't vent well, the collar is like sand paper & the pockets suck. I was showing one of my fellow MSF Coach classmates the local Honda dealer & saw this jacket. I got it out the door for $135. I've been planning to buy a FirstGear Kilamanjaro but it's $300. For less than 1/2, I think I can deal with a supposed "lesser" jacket.

PROS:
fits like a dream (without the liner)
TourMaster seems to be the best value I've found yet on the market (I never really paid any attention to them until I bought my rain gear)
collar is super comfy (it's lined with microfiber)
more pockets than I can count
vents that have multiple settings
arm snaps for adjusting the fit & keeping the armor in its proper place
pocket on the forearm (might not seem like an important feature but it comes in super handy for me to store my military ID in)
waterproof zippers
collar has a snap to hold it down when you ride without the zipper all the way up.

CONS:
fit (a little too snug with the liner)
vent zippers are a pain to reach while riding

All in all, I could not pass this jacket up for $135. If you are looking for an everyday jacket & don't want to spend too much $$$ I give it 2

Funny, I got one (all black) to replace my POS Hondaline jacket that was a hand-me-down from my ex g/f back in 2001. (she wasn't fat, I'm just really skinny)

It's handled temperature fluctuations from the 20's to the 90's so far. Only thing I have to do with the extreme cold is wear a thermal under it. Zips right into my Tourmaster pants for my daily commute. Not a single leak when I hit thunderstorms a few weeks ago.

Which TourMaster pants are the closest match to this jacket?

Good review. I have heard good things about tourmaster from everyone I've known who has used their gear.

I just ordered the Tourmaster Caliber Pant to go with this jacket. A review will follow as soon as I get them.
