GSG Moko VFR Frame Sliders

Having just received my GSG Moko frame sliders for my VFR800, I thought I'd send on to you a couple of photos and a quick opinion for your product review page.

Review: These frame sliders are made by GSG Moko, a German company. I bought them from a UK company called Performance Motorcycle Parts (www.performancemotorcycleparts.com) . They cost 80 quid, including the mandatory smaller coolant overflow tank, plus an additional 17 quid to ship to me in Japan. It was a pleasure to do business with Michael Mumford of Performance Motorcycle Parts. He was more than happy to answer all my questions regarding the product, including faxing me pictures. It only took a couple of weeks to get them once I ordered. This included the time for him to first order them from Germany.

The sliders appear to be more than up to the job, measuring 5" in length and nearly 7.5" in circumference. The main advantage these have over other frame sliders available for the VFR is that they are simple to attach yet extremely strong as they bolt on directly to the frame (next to the motor mount), dispensing with the complicated bracketry of the HPS kit. While you do have to cut holes in the side panels for them, they look very trick. And, more importantly, by mounting next to the radiators instead of directly in front of them they will protect this vulnerable area in a crash rather than pose the risk of transferring impact forces into them as the HPS frame sliders appear to do. I would love to see some pics of these, not to mention what year bike you put them on. I would like to put a set on mine, and I know that the side radiators are a pain to deal with.
