6th gen tail end on 97 subframe

anyone know if you can change a 97's rear fairing and taillights to a newer body style. does the wiring match up? do the bolt patterns match stuff like that.

Quick answer is no. The subframe is different. Long answer is if you throw enough money at it, anything can be done.

Check this link out for putting a 6th gen tail on a 4th gen. Matt was a great help. (just copy and paste). I think it looks killer. I might do it to mine (I have a 94) Matt told me it cost him around $600 for the swap and yes you can use your stock wire harness, the lights plug right in.
