Adjusting foot brake and light

Hi,

I have just bought a VFR (2008) and I adjusted the foot brake down as it was set too high for me. On making the adjustment I noticed that the brake light comes on permanently. Please can someone tell me what else I need to do so that the brake light goes off again. I don't have the books yet and am technically challenged.

Thanks

The rear brake light switch (3) is down there by the lever (5), hooked to it by a spring (4). It's a cylindrical thing with a ring you can turn to adjust it. Hold the switch body so it doesn't turn, and turn the ring counterclockwise (looking down) so the switch body can move down. Adjust the ring until the light comes on with the right amount of pedal movement.
