Dimak,

There are several very large motorcycle salvage yards all over the US. I just received my replacement forks for my 2002 VFR800 in the mail today. They cost me $600 and $40 shipping; great considering that new the are $1000+ a pair. I did find one website that sells them for about $950 new; the best on the internet that I've seen. On average, forks from a salvage yard will be $500-600. Just use google and look for them. Try Steve's Cycle Salvage in Georgia; they will likely have them, along with everything else that you need.

THE Bent forks show heavy impact, so frame may be damaged and should be inspected around steering neck for cracks or misalignment.

You're going to need lots of parts, usually more than you anticipate.
