1987 VFR700 F2 - black beauty

I am selling my beloved 1987 VFR700. I'm the second owner, and it's been very well cared-for. I've moved up to a newer, higher displacement bike, and there's just no going back. I'd rather someone be enjoying this fantastic bike than have it gather dust in my garage.

- 55k miles, mostly highway [As you all know, these bikes will do 100k easy!]
- Clean CA title, in-hand - registered until October 2008

- New battery
- New chain & sprockets
- New rear tire & very good front [~70% life left]
- Heated grips
- Handlebar risers - 3/4" rise
- Custom paint last year - CBR Black
- All original plastics - including seat cowling
- Typical bumps and bruises for a bike this vintage - nothing too major.

The bike needs nothing - it's in fantastic mechanical condition. Ride it away.

I'll include with the purchase a Nelson Rigg cover, a few oil filters & oil, a service manual, and all service records since I bought the bike.

Asking $2000 OBO [no low-ballers, please - not in a rush to sell]
I am in Oakland, Ca

Dang! Of course it's got papers - I'm the second owner, all legit. No, it doesn't need a new ignition switch or have ground off serials. I repainted it because I always thought VFR's should have been offered in black. The original plastics were beginning to look a bit yellowed and tired. Now it's crisp, shiny, and ready for its new owner.

It is now and has always been garage-kept and well loved. This ain't no rat bike.

Bumpity bump bump... who wants my VFR?
