WTB: 86 VFR700 gas cap and left fairing

I am in need of a gas cap for my 86 vfr700. I can't seem to find one anywhere. If anyone has one, or knows of a part that will fit, please let me know.

I'm also looking for the large left fairing, preferably in the original decals. I've seen the aftermarket parts, but I was hoping for something OEM if possible.

Thanks

I had an '84 VF500F, and a '94 VFR750, presently riding a Gen 5 VFR800. Gas caps all seemed identical to me. Sortof a Fred Merkel era look, with the tee shirt shaped thing in the middle covering the key access. What went wrong with the gas cap you have?

When I purchased the bike, it was missing a gas cap and left main fairing. I know for a fact that my vf500f gas cap does not fit on the vfr700 tank. Universal gas caps only seem to cover bikes starting at the f2 era in the honda line.

Hi, definitely interested in the cap and fairing. I'm sending you a PM. Just curious, what's special on the F2's? Was it just a set of carbs? Is the regular VFR700 considered the F1?

The F2 version had a different meter panel which combined gauges into one housing. a much cleaner look I think. It also moved the ignition key. and the fuse block. as far as i know the carbs were exactly the same. the F2 was available in pearl whiteas a special color. Which i think was beautiful. which is why I now have a 2006 VFR800 in pearl white.
I will try to locate some pics for you.

Cap and fairing

Hey, if you're back in town, I'm still very interested in buying your tank cap with key, and left fairing. You said you'd part with those two items for $100? How much is shipping?

Thanks
