For Sale - VFR 400 (NC30) - £1,300

I have decided to sell my gorgeous VFR 400 (NC30) as I am planning to pack up and go traveling. This lovely bike is a great runner and a real head turner with its nastro azzurro (Rossi) colour scheme. It has been an amazing first bike and a dream to ride. As you will see from the attached photos there is some slight damage to the lower front fairing on one side but this was how I brought it. I have been told it can be repaired but to be honest I never got round to it. Overall the paint work is still in great condition for a 14 year old bike but as you would expect there are a few stone chips here and there.

1994 (L Reg)
34,767 km on the clock
Tax – Feb 09
MOT – May 09
New battery – June 08
New fork seals – Sept 08
New spark plugs – Sept 08
New speedo cable – Sept 08

Selling for £1,300

I have all the invoices for work carried out.

If anyone would like to view the bike it is in North London. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for looking.

As far as I know the 400's don't even exist in the US.

Yea I know. just to bad as that's a good size to start out on besides being trick, I've always thought why the H aren't they here. I understand the sales thing, still they should bring em over as they all ready have em in the system, so what could it hurt if they only sold X many here, they're selling in other places. Something about that here in the US of A we seem to have a thing for bigger. Oh Please, it's not so..

I think your right as I did have a guy asking how much to ship to the US. Apparently they don't have 400's in Italy either as another guy wanted a price to ship it there.

FWIW it only has 21,500 in miles too boot.

They are rare in the USA and I count myself amoungst the lucky ones to own one. Mine is a 1992 Japanese version as opposed to the UK (there were minor differences), but is is modified quite a bit from stock. DYMAG Magnesium wheels, Billet triple clamp with Honda RS250 USD forks and ISR monoblock brakes.

Here are a couple of pictures of me and my bud Sunny at the track

My ones a Jap import too and most of the ones in the UK are. Finding a UK spec NC30 today is becoming increasing difficult.

I found this in Wikipedia and it mentions the US at the end so I thought I'd post it.
The Honda VFR400 series of motorcycles were a related series of 399 cc V4-engined motorcycles, which were essentially scaled-down versions of the larger VFR models of the day. They were mainly developed for, and sold in, the Japanese domestic market, in part due to the restrictive motorcycle drivers' license restrictions in Japan at the time.

Outside of Japan, the VFR400R (NC30) was officially imported to the United Kingdom for four years, but with a price tag of £5899 (similar to that of the 1000cc bikes of the time and actually more than Honda's own VFR750F), failed to sell well. This model was also officially imported (in very limited numbers) and sold in Austria, France and Germany for a few years.

Although mainly produced for the Japanese domestic market, VFR400s have been popular as grey imports in other markets (especially the United Kingdom, and also for racing purposes in the United States) in the "mini" superbike segment.

Howdy Sunny 1; I really like the styling of your 400,especially the flat double headlight
fairing. Due to the bike being destined mainly for
the Japanese market, are parts difficult to find for it in the
U.K ? eddie

It's not the shipping that gets you, it's the $6,400 in fees to get it legal (and I lucked out on the price!) to ride on the streets! But once you have it..........

That's a nice bike, goodluck with the sale! I'd probably buy it as well if you weren't overseas. I could use some spares for mine.

$6,400 in fees? What fees???

Here in Canada I got my NC30 registered to be road legal no problem, didn't cost me any more than any other bike would have...

I only paid 5 grand for the thing, I'm really glad I didn't have to go through any hassles like that or I woulda had to sold it!
