Needed Fairings for 1990 VFR 750

Hi All,

I am looking for the right mid and lower fairings for a VFR 750. I am also looking for the upper fairing. I will also consider other fairings if you have them. I put the bike down driving through a construction zone last year that had a ton of gravel on the road. Didn't do much damage, but enough to mess up the fairings.

If you can help please, send me an email at todd.chant (at) gmail.com.

Thanks

Are you looking for both sides? Check with Service Honda. I think some of the fairings for a 90 model may still be available, but they won't be for too long I am guessing. I just ordered a left side mid fairing for a 92 because one for a 93 was not available and the one for the 92 was getting ready to be no longer produced. SH did say that there were some left side mid fairings for a 90 or 91 available. Also check ebay.

Thanks for the reply,

I have been watching eBay for a while now, but there hasn't been too much at all. I even created a saved search that emails me when things are posted.

I will give Honda a call to see if they have any, I was just hoping that I could find some half decent 2nd hand ones.... Just wondering, how much (roughly) did the ones from Honda cost?

Also.. has anyone ever purchased anything from here:

Well, the 92 mid fairing cost a little more than $300 and the lerft upper fairing was $295. Way less exppensive than thru the local dealer. There were some for a 92 (I think) on ebay, but they were pretty busted up. Airtech does not, the last time I checked, make fairings for the 3rd gen, the make them for 2nd gen and 4th gen. Why skip the 3rd gen is beyond me. To myunderstanding, 4th gen plastic will not fit. It may if you replace all the plastic up front. You might also have to change the fairing stay. I have not checked with them to see if the 94 - 97 plastic will indeed fit 90 - 93 models.

Here's a moto plastic repair place, I was thinking about using:
EmpireGP
They've got a 93 VFR on page 2 of Work Examples, Bikes.

I like the look of their work. I wonder how much they charge? If you get an estimate, post up the pics and what kind of estimate they give you. I may do the same. I'm not having much luck with local body shops.

I'll have to send some pics to them and get a quote to see if they can fix my busted left mid fairing.

I've got a lot of bullets left on the Honey-Do list, before I get to the VFR, but here's a thread over on Superhawkforum, with an EmpireGP customer:

...empiregp.com seems to be a good place for plastic repair and fabrication...i sent bob some pics of modifying my 1990 viffer's nose into a single 65mm PIAA endurance setup...very reasonable price, makes the modification possible instead of just a dream...
