Coalinga / Harris Ranch Run

Coalinga / Harris Ranch Run

These are 2 different but nearly the same routes. Both are allot of fun. The Coalinga Run the way Tim and the BAVFR group run it is quite a bit longer. The Harris Ranch Run is much shorter on the return, which is a good thing because you will be so full from lunch at Harris Ranch
  • Coalinga Run
  • A good place to start is at the Chevron Station on Highway 25 and 156 in Hollister.
  • From there go south on Highway 25 to Old Coalinga Road
  • Take Old Coalinga Road until it turns into Los Gatos Road which will turn into Tornado rd.
  • Go right on Oil City Road all the way into Coalinga. Get gas here.
  • Take 198 West and stop at Priest Valley Station for Lunch.
  • Continue on 198 West and go under 101 then make a right on Oasis Road
  • Follow Oasis Road north back to 101.
  • Take 101 north for a few exits and get off at Arroyo Seca Road.
  • Make a right on Carmel Valley Road and follow this road all the way up to Seaside.
  • From Seaside there are many possible routes back to the bay area. My favorite is to go north to Santa Cruz then take Highway 9.
