Anyone know the license plate light laws in BC?

I did some fender chopping and wondered if I need to rig up a light for the plate. Any BC guys have any experience with the law on this?

License Plate Light

What a lot of us did was chop the fender, remove the old light (use circuit for other things) and take the center light lens out. Cut a recatangular hole out of the red bottom, and replace it with clear plastic, glued in. It now lights the plate adequately.

Just another great idea from the vifferisti.

I did about the same thing you did here but I used an LED plate lite - check my gallery.

+1 did the same on my '00 800. It even has a removeable panel on the bottom of the lens. That was the first thing I did. It hung way too far. Much cleaner this way.

laws ame most every where..BC also requires a light...I did the same thing..But on m7y 00, I took the tailight out ..cut a hole in the bottom, glued a small piece of clear over the hole..the tail light now shines enough down thru the clear to light the plate..very simple lookin..not sure on your model tho...
