Southern Ontario Events/Meets 2008?

Hi Gentlemen, just wondering if VFR World members meet up at all like on some other forums bike sites?

in June, about 6 VFR devotees from around the golden horseshoe /GTA met up in the Falls with 3 from WesternNY to ride up to Niagara-on-the Lake on a cloudy day.

Maybe (if possible) we could add Ontario to the list of "states" for ride information to be posted through the link at the bottom of the VFRWorld home page in the Motorcycle Event Calendar? Dover was an absolute ZOO! stop and go traffic all the way from Haggersville. took an hour to do the last 10 miles. Couldn't find a place to park the bike and couldn't move in the crowd. Quite a spectacle.

SO true! UNBELIEVABE is the only way i can describe it! OR maybe INSANELY HUGE!

Largest EVER bike meet in CANADA?? For sure!

THIS world class event was a fair rival to Daytona, Sturges, Laconia, Americade, etc. A biker's Disneyland, Burning Man, Woodstock, Possum Lodge, madhouse, hall of fame of shame,home to wierdness , wildness that would have made International News if held where it best belonged: Clifton Hill in the Falls, freak-show city!!

EVENT belonged on world TV, showing that Canadians are a partying race, not a colorless breed like their politicians and know how to let down their hair, their beards, their bras and panties too!

MAIN street gridlocked with people, bikes EVERYWHERE else.
THERE was so much to see, but crowded with too many people and bikes to be able to see much!!

OPP needs to improve traffic ingress.

ALMOST spoiled by it's own success?? NO, there are still few more parking spaces out back, somewhere!!!

Unknown to most US riders, if word got out and they showed up too, THEY'D HAVE TO SHUT IT DOWN!!!...Dover couldn't handle it!!!
F**K, bros, Ontario couldn't handle it!!

Count me in as well. I made it to the April 13, 2007 and it was friggin' cold! Missed the July 13 due to a faulty Rectifier/Regulator which has since been replaced. I am definately in on the June event and it sounds like a lot of us are. We can start to plan how we can ride in together picking up each other along the way. I'll volunteer to champion the planning if you wish. I just need to know where each of you are coming from and I can start to set up a route. Feel free to PM me and I'll start the process. vfr pilot...you really fly? I do, and was based in London with Air Ontario for quite a while....

Yes,I was a Pilot.Was laid off out west back in 2001 and couldn't find other work.
I had just started right seat PC12.....and now my 400 hrs. tt gets me nothing let alone expired Mult-IFR.
If I had a job lined up I would likely make the sacrifice again.
