I live in Whistler from May to November every year....so ummm....yes...I guess that is West.

Jay, one of your trips this year includes riding the Sea To Sky Highway. Just thought I would let you know.

+ I have a 12 day trip planned for the summer, throughout BC, leaving from Whistler, heading up through Jasper, down to Banff, then back through Penticton, stopping at a bunch of other places, that would take too long to explain on this thread. Thinking late August, when the weather is perfect.

If anybody wants in, now is the time to plan.

Mountains and twisty single lane roads outside my front door. I cant think of a better place to be in the summer. Only thing that I hate about it, is gas in Canada is equivalent to almost $5 a gallon.

Sounds lke something I would be interested in. I plan on visiting a buddy in Red Deer, Alta. Will haul my bike up there, and proceed from there is what I am thinking. Keep me posted if you schedule a date.

for me it makes a great days ride about 700km round trip depending on which way you return cash creek (marble canyon)or lytton a bit shorter. and back down the canyon. worst part is all that constuction on sea to sky is that road still chewed up? that road been awful for years i wonder if they'll get it done in time for 2010 Olympics?

Have to get a few viffers or others together for a group ride up that way this summer or spring

There are parts of the Sea To Sky that is still chewed up. Have to be very careful on a bike.

However they have made dramatic improvements, and opened new sections, of 2 lanes both ways.

But yes...still lots of sketchy areas with debris on the road.

Oh, they will be done for the Olympics. They are actually ahead of schedule.

The 700km ride sounds awesome. We will have to hit that up. Dont let me forget to pack my spare R/R! HA.

ON that ONE day PORT DOVER ( ONTARIO) might be about the 5th or 6th largest city in Canada!! And all bikers!!!

It's more of a phenomonon than a meet!!
A true -north Canadian Daytona, Sturgis, Hollister, Woodstock, Burning Man,Disneyland, Acid Test, high-octane-fueled blowout!!!
Stuff you never saw before, stuff no one ever saw before!!
A contemporary classic event, well over the top!!
So many people and so many bikes you can barely see the bikes!
An example to the world that Canadians are a partying race , know how to have fun, and know how to have fun without invading an enemy country and know how to let down their hair, their beards, and bras too!
