Would love to...but work calls. I actually did the ride out to Mission yesterday...for work! I managed to pull off getting paid and putting 350kms on my bike......ah life CAN be good. Unfortunately, I can't pull if off tomorrow.
Maybe next time.

<sigh> bike's still not put back together from doing the rear elliptical adjuster flip, relocating the coil packs, remounting the oil cooler, finishing the chin fairing and changing the engine and fork oil.....and I have the kids while my wife works Sat. I'll probably have time to put the bike back together by, oh, maybe June? I'll let you know when it's insured again.

The weather's great. I believe there is 3 of us. I'll see you guys at 11:00.

I need to do a few things first (on the road by 10:00). Call or text me at 604-505-3230, if needed.

Any last minute lurkers out there...come on down!

Cheers,

Was supposed to go on two different courses at work Monday and Tuesday but today became sicker than a dog. Doubt I will get much riding in these days off. The ride home from work wasn't even enjoyable and the weather was quite nice. This sucks. Haven't missed a day's work in a very long time.

I work a 4 and 4, or an 8 day week. My weekends off are coming up so will have 4 free Sundays coming my way. Do I see some group rides in my future? Stay turned my children. Father VFR will keep you informed.

Was a date picked for that. I can always take a day of work for a major ride. Right now I am seconded for two months so my days off are really when I want them. Hope it is not later half of June thought The wife and I are fifth wheeling it down to the Oregon Coast.

okay Randy, not very good at this ride report had know idea were the hell all these awesome back roads were. i needed a gps or something to log this ride.one of the stops for gas was in Munroe (must be getting close to your area RW) then on to king county i think. total distance was 550 km or320 miles return. great ride lots of twistys on nice clean back roads with little to no traffic made for a great paced ride. on the way back we took hwy 9 to make it back before 6 boring compared to the ride down.
makes the baker ride look tame to be honest.
you guys down south have great roads better maintained than ours.
boarder crossing traffic was light. it was a great day hope to do it again soon

Hwy 9 is one of Washington's best kept secrets, sure beats going north on I-5

:
the real riding is on back roads off hwy9. all those times i rode down that hwy and missed all those miles of twisty back roads with no boys in blue and free of Harley traffic
hwy 542 is like 40 min from me + boarder crossing time. lower potion is congested with cruisers and upper alpine where all the twisties are like in the picture will have a huge wall of snow on sides of roadthis time of year.
to be fair maybe we should ride just south of Arlington about half way point meet for lunch or coffee and hit some of the back roads off hwy 9 ....
just a thought
