Have not tried it yet, but I hear if you tell the insurance company the amount of cc's your bike is instead of what it is called it will be a little lower. A example would be a VFR 800 is actually a 788.

I tried to get insurance through Melouche Monnex, (my truck is insured through them), but, they said "no, that's a sport bike. We don't insure sportbikes." So - I pay what is offered up here...which is very high - for the 5 month riding season.

My Insurance Broker quoted me $550 ($600 rounding up) for a 1993 VFR750 with Liability (1 Mil). Fire/Theft would put me up to about $750. Now that is with the bike insured out of Burlington, Ontario. I have had my M2 for four years and riding with Insurance through Kingsway for 2 years. Jevco apparently give nice breaks when you turn 30.

Someone posted about having 3 tickets. The problem you will have is that most Insurance companies will give you a surcharge (around 15%) if you have 3 minors on your license. I have two at the moment so I decided to inquire with my Broker.

I am with Rider Plus now. Full cover around $730 or $750 (don't remember the exact amount).

From my experience, if your under the age 30, State Farm is the way to go usually (in Ontario anyways). I pay $1400 full coverage (1 accident, 3 speeding tickets) on my driving record. I wasn't required to sign anything else over but they had great rates for my vehicles. Only down side, they don't consider a Motorcycle as part of they "10%" discount for every vehicle added to the policy nor do they allow you to insure during riding season only.

Well the 6th gen VFR is the only sport bike jevco insures.
It is classed as touring, so they don't insure gsxr's or cbr's.
as mention full collision $423, even covers theft.
