Talking Vfr Luggage And Tyres

Hi All Ive recently bought a 2006 silver VFR 800 VTEC im from the UK and im looking for some luggage for touring next spring....Ive had a look on various websites but im not sure what Ill need to fit it to the bike and what kind to go for. What I need is secure hard luggage pref a topbox and panniers but does this come with all the other stuff i need to fit it to the bike?? And whats the best stuff out there, Is it the Honda luggage? Any suggestions where I can get some for about 400-600 would be great :-)

Next point is tyres, ive just had some metzlers fitted to the bike and ive not had much chance to test them out, anyone with any good touring Tyre suggestions would be grateful..

Thanks and happy riding all

I'm happy with the OEM bags I got from davidsilverspares.com. IIRC the boxes and mounting kit are bought as separate pieces.

Tires- Any of the latest sport touring tires are good, and you will probably get a response from 10 different people on 10 different tires. So pretty much it comes down to what you can get a deal on. Sport touring rear with a supersport front seem to be a good combination and can be cheaper as well.

Hello and welcome to the nuthouse! As was stated, there are 10 different opinions on tires from 10 different folks. I currently have Conti Road Attacks on myself...seem to be doing ok. I am a Metzeler man by choice though. Givi's makes aftermarket hard bags for the VFR.

Another vote for David Silver: they ship to Canada, so I assume that they go to the USA, too.

My bags (for an '03/ABS) are perfect, inexpensive and arrived in five days! The colour match was exact and the installation was more work than expected, but if you proceed logically and can assemble an Ikea desk, you should have no trouble.
