strange sound

hi, i am a new vfr owner. I have a 6th gen 06 silver in london. basically i bought it privately and i thought i'd jump on here and see what you guys think as i have one concern...(everything is perfect apart from this...)

when slowing down from speed if i put it in first and ride the clutch/trans there is a high pitch whine...not too loud but loud enough to notice, only happens in first slowing down with the clutch in and not all the time.

just wondered if it was something to worry about.

Hello,

Go to your local dealer, you need a new spanner(s) and if its bad a new chain and if its really bad new cams...

Always look on the bright side!

Every bike Ive ever had has made that sound in 1st gear when slowing down like that. Normal. Usually I don't shift back to 1st gear until I come to a stop.

I hope you are right with that sound (the smallest gear turning is making a normal high rotating sound) but my VFR Vtec is making strange sounds now and then and Honda does not now what it is but its not normal.
The quality of the Vtec is not as good as the VFR800Fi was I guess.....
(My Vtec is made april 2008 and drove almost 10.000 km)
