The ONLY Headers that I have ever been able to find are made by Motad. They are stainless steal. I would have to say that it made the biggest improvement in performance on my bike than any other thing I've done. You can find all sorts of carbon cans that go with the slip-ons, it just depends on what you like and how much you are willing to spend. Hope this helps, oh and welcome to the forum. You will love your bike.

If I remember corectly, mine cost me somewhere between $830.00 to $915.00 shipped. They aren't cheap, but if youride like I do its worth it! If you have anyother questions I can help with let me know. I've done a lot of mods to mine and can tell you from experience!

any dyno sheets you could post with stock headers to when you switched to motard would be helpful. I'd like to see where in the revs the power increased. $900 is too much for me to spend on a whim

Well I haven't set aside the money to have mine put on a dyno yet, but it did improve the lower end power a lot. It also revs up faster. The Motad headers do eliminate the catalytic converter but do have a place for the O2 sensors still. Before the headers my bike would only do a dry wheely after 7800 RPM, and now it does it effortlessly at 6700 RPM. It will also clutch wheely at just below 4000 RPM, but I don't like to clutch wheelie I prefur to just do power dry wheelies. That way I know what to expect if I am in the higher RPM's and decide to hit the throttle. That way I don't have any surprises.

They are just the aluminum cans with the stainless pipes and end caps. the paint on the cans fade from black to red. The red has faded over the past year and a half, but I still like them. They sound great and both pipes are used which is what I was looking for. I thought it was dumb to put a fake one on the left side that would always look un-used not having any carbon build up on the inside of the tip and the other one having the build up. They cost me about $850.00 shipped just for the rear half of the exhaust.

I'd go with carbon fiber. Mine above is the black/red weave.

The red can be anywhere from a candy-apple to a blood red depending on the way the light hits it.

The simple titanium also looks nice too.

I do like the look of that red carbon fiber also, I just didn't want to pony up the extra cash to get the carbon ones. But they would've been my first choice if I had the cash. I'm still happy with what I got though, they still perform great. I'm thinking about taking all the stainless steel parts of my exhaust(headers & pipes going to the cans) off this winter and having them polished up to a high shimmer. My friend did it last winter on his Ducati 996 and it looks soo much better than the brushed look, & now that he has driven it a bit they have gotten that nice blue tint coming off of the heads! Its such a nice look.

I really do like the carbon fiber cans...and i dont mind spendin the extra cash...im just the type of person that i dont care the cost as long as i get it exactly the way i want it....i have had cars and bikes in the past where i went the cheaper way and settled and have always regreted it... and im determined to do this bike up exactly the way i want it....because i absolutely LOVE it....but im finding that it is really hard to find parts for these bikes...i had my bike lowered 1 1/2 inches and had to send off to london just to get the parts to do it lol...but i do have another ? i HATE the rear fender or whatever u call it (where the liscence plate is) do they make eliminator kits for it and if so where do i find one?

Yes they do make fender eliminator kits for them. I do believe I found a bunch of them on e-bay, however I just took the plastic portion of mine off and behind the plastic is this cool looking metal bracket that I re-painted gloss black and just mounted the plate right to it and am happy with the look. I do however need to spread my cans appart a bit and turn my plate back the correct way so you can see my carbon fiber rear hugger that I recently added on. Here is a pic of what it currently looks like.

Im running the TBR carbon fiber pipes - however if you are used to the small/tight weave pattern they might not float your boat. Personally I like the larger weave pattern - just enough of a different look to keep things interesting.
