Hello! I am need to the VFR world. My first bike was an SV650s, and now with a VFR in the garage life is sweet. I just put Metzeler M5 Interacts on and they seem to work wonderfully. I was going to run the pilot power 2ct, but everywhere was on back order. Has anyone else used the M5? If so, how long did it last?

P.S. Western Wisconsin roads are nice and twisty, but what is the deal with the poor road suface?

Hi Folks,

My name is Rick and I bought an 04 VFR last year with 9k miles. I have thoroughly enjoyed the ride this and last year. Beside other things, first and foremonst I am very interested in learning from the the experts in this community on how to lean/corner smoothly. I am very much a novice in that area and awkwardly slow down on twisted roads. Any suggestions and or previously discussed links would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello all !

I have spent a lifetime with motorcycles as a hobby . My Suzuki TC90 was spanking new when On Any Sunday came to the theaters. I've owned a couple Honda's during the late 70's , one a 1978 750 SS and then a 1979 CBX . I've spent the last three decades on Suzuki's for the most part. I've modified near all of them in terms of gaining engine performance in one way or other. The bike i currently use for sport touring is a 2007 GSX1300R .

I feel need to soak up information on the VFR1200 engine and ignition/fueling. I think i want to ride one for awhile. I like what i see in it so far .

Good day all.

Hello,

I picked up a '98 VFR earlier this year for my first ever road bike. I'm enjoying it and getting ready for my first road trip. I'm headed up the Oregon coast.

I'm doing some general maintenance and wanted to check on my air filter. I took off the mounting bolts and lifted up my tank. I saw two tubes under my tank that I think are called the breather & overflow tubes. I've included a picture showing that one of the tubes (smaller gray one) pulled loose from my bike, but I can't find where it came from. My manual doesn't show it either. Could someone share some advice on where it connects to? Both tubes are still connected to the underside of my tank.

Thanks,

Hello everyone,

This is Dave from Baltimore, Maryland, 31 years old and in the military. Just bought a 2007 RWB Interceptor. This is my sixth bike but my first VFR. Love to ride if anyone is in my area. I bought this bike with less than 700 miles on it and the previous owner put a bootleg Vance and Hines exhaust on it. So I am searching for a good exhaust. I still have the stock exhaust so my plan is to put the stock back on and find a god pair of slip-ons. I like my pipes loud and I have hear good things about the following pipes...Staintune/Erion and Leo vince and two brothers but I have not heard these two without the baffles. Don't know if I love or hate the Laser 4 into 4 exhaust..any info or suggestions would be appreciated. To all me fellow brothers and sisters who ride..be safe.

Just traded my 06 VTX1800N for a 2004 VFR A w 2300 miles. Kind of a spur of the moment thing. Went into a dealership looking for a FZ1 but spotted the VFR. I was looking to move to a lighter, more nimble, smoother bike. Over the past month I have test run a FJR 1300, ZG1400, numerous sport bikes, etc. I was very disappointed w FJR, very clunky tranny but good ergos. Concours was very smooth and quick but a lot of money and a sweltering cockpit, a real deal breaker the heat was. One ride on the VFR and I was hooked. I will need some Heli bars and a seat eventually. Can anyone recommend a seat besides Sargent?
How about a touring windshield? Thanks and glad to be here. Love the V-tech. Just like my S2000.
