99 Replacement mirrors

I have a 99 vfr with stock mirrors and one is cracked and I can't stand the condom mirrors anyways. I just ordered racing mirrors off ebay but they are so damn small I can barely make out whats behind me. I checked with the honda dealership near me and they said the 00 and 01' have the condom mirrors also. What can I replace them with that will look good but also be useful? And where can I buy them from?

mirrors

'00 and '01 don't have booted mirrors. They have the thin stalks. I put a set on my '99 and it looks 100% better. Buy 'em from Honda.

What is a condom mirror? Is that for safe sex riding?

Buy the '01 mirrors - cheapest is from www.ronayers.com or servicehonda.
Check the fische and make sure you order the right part numbers.

For a photo check my gallery.

Good luck,
MD

P.S. -- get a new dealer.

Do you have the part numbers for the 01 mirrors so I make sure I get the correct ones without the boot?

I have the packaging that my 'Non-booted" mirrors came in from Honda. I'll get the Honda part number tonight and post tomorrow.

I got the part numbers from RonAyers - BTW the price has come down quite a bit to about $75 each - Good Deal!

88110-MBG-D01 right hand mirror ---- order 1
88120-MBG-D01 left hand mirror ----- order 1
88113-MBG-D00 rubber base -------- order 2
96600-06016-07 mounting bolt -------- order 4

If you want to order from the www.ronayers.com site, go there, click fische -
click Honda, click VFR800Fi, click 2001 Interceptor, click upper cowl. Then click the part numbers to add to your cart to order.

Best of luck,

MD

About $66 a piece for www.servicehonda.com, and fast shipping for Midwest/South.

I have been searching for photos of the 1998-99 and 2000-01 mirrors so I can see the difference. Any ideas where I can see them?
