the only place you got to drill is the license plate and its rear mud flap

Givi Hard Bags

Bought a full GIVI set-up from Glen at www.SportTour.com :

Givi PL257+FZ257 (tubular side rack and top case rear rack) $261.00.
2 Givi E36N side cases $159.00ea. $318.00
Total cost: $579 (free shipping)

Pictures of my install

I already had a JC Whitney large trunk that snaps right on the Givi rear rack.

I have a Staintune high pipe on my bike and found an easy solution for the bag interference problems. I just use the stainless steel spacer that Staintune sends you for under the left passenger grip as an extension bracket so I can rotate the pipe down when the hardbags are on the bike.

Pipe position

Bracket detail

When I'm not touring I take the bags and tubular siderack off completely and rotate the pipe back up into the normal high position. Takes about 15 minutes total. I leave the rear rack part installed and can pop one of the E36's or the Whitney trunk on in seconds.
