Yellow VFR - Yellow helmet
Yellow VFR - Yellow helmet.
Will I look cool? Or will it make me look like a total tool. The GF says it will look stupid, but what does she know. So what say you? |

I have a yellow helmet. I know at least one other member here who does.
Tool or not, I want to stick out so people SEE ME. There are several helmets with yellow and black designs. Keep looking, you'll find one you like. And dress yourself, man! I do not ask anyone's opinion of how to dress. They do not have to like it.

Well, I've got a yellow VFR, yellow jacket, and an anthracite helmet with a yellow peace sign on the back. I'm so cool, I can't hardly stand it.

Yellow graphics with black background would be nice.

I had a yellow VFR, and a yellow KBC helmet, and in at least one photo (taken years ago) a pair of yellow pants. That was one step too far. :)

if your jacket and pants arent all yellow it would be cool, black and yellow would compliment your bike nicely

Not a big fan of solid color helmets on matching bikes. Something with yellow graphics would look better.

I have a yellow and black helmet and a yellow and black Honda Racing jacket. My buddies say I look like a bumble bee, but hey I'm seen.

If I really cared what others thought about what I wear, I would stop wearing spandex.
Now If I could only find yellow spandex.![]() Wear what you want and the hell with what others think. Worthy of note however. I had an ophthalmologist tell me years ago that yellow is the colour most visible to the human eye. But I think it has to be a certain shade. Ever wonder why school buses are yellow?

Yeah, what I really wanted the Okada replica with the dragon, but I was young and foolish....now I'm just old and foolish......Hey, anybody know if Arai still makes that helmet design? I don't see it on their website anymore.

Sounds like a cool combo (and safe too) to me. I do like the "Stryper" helmet though. My EX resisted co-ordinated colors when riding our tandem. My feeling is that many female significant others dislike males stepping into "their space" of co-ordinated colors. Perhaps they like being the showy flower but might be threatened by us taking an interest in the same area. There are many possible reasons...maybe my EX was just a mean person!

Saw a yellow bike today. Rider had a basically black suit with a fair amount of yellow trim to it. Wore solid yellow helmet no graphics. It actually looked pretty good.

My silly opinion.....I am not fond of solid color helmets that match the color of the bike.....unless it is black.
Whatever works for you dude!

If you look too stylish, somebody might get jealous and try to hit you on purpose. If you look too neutral, somebody might not see you. If you look somewhat geeky and a bit pitiful, they will probably see you and let you go because they feel bad for you. If you look too outlandish, they will probably hit you because you startled them out of their dream world and they are unhappy about it.
All that being said, the color yellow is 63 times more visible than any other color to the human eye, so it is never a bad choice. And now that I've gone back and read this, it offers very little guidance at all. You should probably just do what makes you happy. |

Yellow and Black Here
I have a solid yellow Shoei, two Cortech yellow/black/white jackets (see links), and the pearl black viffer. Friends have also referred to me as a bumble bee, but I think of myself as a hornet...
Like others here, I assume I'm invisible. Cortech :: Textile Jackets :: GX Sport Series 2 Jacket Cortech :: Textile Jackets :: GX Air Jacket With Leather
