Know your motorcycle?

Hi everybody, other than the sevice manual how can I get information on how everything works on my bike; engine, fuel delivery, brakes etc. I have a 1972 CB750 and know the inner workings of it but my 1999VFR is new to me and I need to know this bike just as well as my old one. I appreciate any feedback you can give. Thanks to all who respond.
