Checking Tire pressure and riding on fresh Tar.

Hello Club,

I consider myself a pretty safe driver who takes care of my ride, but I&#8217;m not sure why I don&#8217;t check the tires pressure more often.
Its one the most critical things on the bike!
When was the last time you checked?
Be smart check them!!! :o

FYI about streets that are being repaved!

I came around a blind turn, and they where repaving the road&#8230;no big deal at first&#8221; Right&#8221;
Since I just was riding for an hour and it was hot out I just didn&#8217;t think how hot my tires must have been.
It was about a &frac14; mile of riding on the fresh new tar.

When I went back to ride the next day the bike was all over the road.
I went right to the bike shop&#8230;He asked was I riding the bike on a track all day. &#8220;I wish&#8221;
What had happen is I super heated my tire riding on the pavement.
The tires where just about toast &#8230;He told me inflate to 38 -40 psi&#8230;This should and did round out the edges.
But they are still not the same and I&#8217;m going to replace the set to be safe.
All I can say is lesson learned. I think&#8230;
