Another '98 fi is DEAD!!!!! :0(
Hello people. any ideas would be nice.I have started fightering my crash damaged 98 and all was good then came the test ride..
I have been doing lights etc and then i ran it up for 5 minutes no probs.Had a 3 hour break and then went for the test. The bike fired up,spluttered a bit, then died! Still cranks over, pump is priming, tilt sensor is correct position, fuses ok,fuel line feels like it pressurises, hooked it up to my jeep to get max voltage to ensure a good spark. All is good but it doesn't seem to want to inject ![]() I love my bike and cant wait for it to start anoying the neighbours!!! ![]() Pleeeaaasssee help ![]() |

put in a new set of plugs. and then check your charging system. runnung these bikes with low voltage will foul your plugs quickly. After they are fouled they will give you the exact same symptoms that you just encountered.

the plugs will also oil-foul if the bike spends any length of time on it's side.
