center stand install

I just bought a 1999 VFR with no center stand. I also bought a Service Manual. I would like to install the center stand, but have no directions to follow and don't want to botch the job. The service manual shows the side stand, but not the center, so that let me down. It's $90 minimum to have the dealer put it on. I'm fairly sure I can do it. Anyone tried it or able to give me some pointers?
Thanks.
Colin Ritchie

Re: center stand install

The Haynes Service Manual may have a section where it shows you how to take one off and put one back on. I have one at home. I'll check it out for you.

Re: center stand install

Colin it's easy to fit as long as the exhaust is removed first.
I kid you not!

So wait until you need to remove the exhaust (refurbishment/replacement) and then fit the stand.
