Clutch and Brake Fluid Change
I could not find any definitive threads on the easiest way to replace my clutch and brake fluids. I do have a Haynes manual, but it tends to be quite vague. What I am really looking for are tips or easy ways some of you have figured out to do it.
I was thinking of getting some type of suction device to put on the bleeder port/valve, then use a turkey baster to suck the fluid out of the resovoir, put new flluid in the resovoir and suck it through while keeping the resovoir topped off. I know I can also get a bleeder kit at Checker for about $20. Let me know what you guys do!

ive always found that the way you stated is the best. ive done it that way on my cars, and will be doing it to the bike here soon (hopefully with a set of stainless lines installed). i have a set of speedbleeders on the GTO, and i still had to do it the old fashioned way (with 2 people).
i dont know about the 5th gen, but im wondering if doing the 6th gen would suck cause of the LBS (i dont know if the 5th gen has LBS also). there looks to be 2 bleeders on each caliper (im guessing one for the front brake and one for the rear) |
